Orthognathic surgery is the branch of oro-maxillofacial surgery associated with orthodontics. During orthodontic treatment, an operation is performed on the jaws in order to correct tooth bite. This harmonises the facial profile and improves the appearance of the face in the same way as aesthetic surgery.
