The 58-year-old patient comes to Piano alarmed by the mobility of her lower arch teeth and the widening of the spaces between her teeth from year to year. She mentions that she is allergic to metals. Following the multidisciplinary treatment plan and the periodontitis treatments, she is recommended to wear a metal-free dental appliance, i.e. a gingiva, only on the lower arch for 5 months. Thereafter, it is immobilised with a fixed retainer on the back of the teeth.
